Each starter set premiers one Pokémon ex for each of the secondary types featured in the deck. The decks include a number of basic Trainer cards to start out the new Generation of the Trading Card Game, plus basic Energy cards. Each set comes packaged with a sheet containing 44 damage counters and 2 status markers, a player's guide, a coin, and a two-player playmat.
